Doula Help
Have you heard of a Doula? Do you know of the help around? Let me tell you the pleasure of my role.
I meet with a family and get to know them
well. Understand there needs and discuss
anything they would like to know.
Once the first sign is clear that baby is on the way I will join them in there home reassuring them and helping where I can. Wiping a brow, massaging your back, talking things through or holding your hand.
I like to put the mother in the drivers seat and her partner as the co-pilot, I am like the tour guide on the journey to baby land. There maybe detours along the way but we will get there one step at a time.
Suggesting a new position or walking around as we go through the stages together never leaving your side.
Some parents like me to come and help after baby is born whilst they are learning to care for their new born. I’ll show them how to bath or put baby to sleep and be an extra pair of hands helping with light housework and making sure they’ve had something to eat.
There is very little I don’t do, all you have to do is ask. I take each day as it comes.
